China is exploring the creation of an interest rate corridor, Yi Gang, vice-governor of the Peoples Bank of China said on Sunday.

央行副行長易綱6日表示，中國正在探索打造利率走廊。

易綱對利率走廊（interest rate corridor）的概念為：中央銀行通過提供一個存款和貸款的便利，主如果給商業銀行提供如此的便利（the central bank introduces deposit and lending facilities to commercial banks），中央銀行定存款和貸款的利率區間，通過如此一個利率區間調控和引導利率，如此一個機制就稱之為利率走廊。

利率走廊的推行有益于穩定商業銀行預期，防止預期利率暴漲而出現囤積流動性（hoard1 liquidity）傾向，從而達到穩定利率用途。
